Payroll & HR Administrator

We presently have an opening for a Payroll & HR Administrator in our Vaughan location. The ideal candidate should posess the following:

Education and/or Experience

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent
  • ADP Payroll software experience
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (CPC) and knowledge of Quebec payroll administration
  • 3-5 years related work experience
  • Accounting or Accounts Payable experience
  • CHRP designation or working towards completion

Computer Skills

  • Must have profcient computer skills with the following applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet business application usage
  • Accounting software experience would be a definite asset
  • Experience with ADP Pay at Work

Other Skills and Activities 

  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
  • Ability to handle a large and diverse number of projects, tasks, and issues with tact, cooperation, and persistence
  • Ability to prioritize work activities
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively  communicate with both internal and external clients

Principal Duties and Areas of Responsibity


  • Responsible for the bi-weekly payroll for 2 companies, approximately 65 employees
  • Data entry for all time and attendance
  • Prepare and maintain related payroll records, reports, and government reporting
  • Reponsible for reviewing and coding expenses

Human Resources

  • Assist with the hiring process
  • Maintain and update confidential employee records
  • Provide administrative support related to HR programs and policies
  •  Prepare documents for new employees, including offer letters, benefite packages, and payroll documents
  • Complete monthly reports
  • Administer employee benefit program
  • Process government security clearences


  • Responsible for fleet administration of 18 vehicles
  • Co-ordinate building facilities and security
  • Backup for accounts payable and reception on occasion
